PLANNING NOTES / 21 OCTOBER 2026

1. Is it the right property?

Hotels in the same resort can have similar names and different room categories. Confirm the full name, address and room description before comparing prices.

2. What is the full cost?

Read the total for the whole stay in AUD, including taxes and any mandatory fees. Check breakfast, parking, card surcharges and additional guest charges separately.

3. How flexible is the reservation?

A refundable rate can be useful when your plans may move. Check the cancellation deadline, the local time zone and whether changing dates reprices the stay.

4. Is there a deposit or bond?

Ask about any pre-authorisation, accepted payment methods and release timing. Money temporarily held on your card affects the budget even when it is not a final charge.

5. What can you actually use?

Pool access, spa treatments, club lounges and cabanas are different things. Do not assume all are included because they appear in the resort gallery.

6. Does the room suit your needs?

Confirm bed configuration, step-free access, bathroom layout and any essential accessibility features with the property. A general accessibility icon cannot answer every personal requirement.

7. Are works planned?

Check the hotel’s own notices for renovations, noise or changed access. Save the rate conditions and booking confirmation somewhere you can find them later.

A good trip has its limits.

Casino areas are for adults aged 18 and over. Gambling can cause harm. You can enjoy a hotel without gambling.
